Room 415, Sunday afternoon

Tongue poking out a bit in concentration, Bo finished tacking up the last of his spare decorations, pressing the picture against the wall with the heel of his hand. Cher's stuff - and hadn't that been mighty awkward, for him anyway, sleeping side by each with a girl and not in the fun way - more than made up for his own Spartan existence, he thought.

He moved back to consider his handiwork - a Confederate flag hanging over his headboard, and the three photos over his desk. One of himself and Luke, half-out of the General Lee's windows; one of Uncle Jesse sitting on his front porch, looking grumpy at having to pose for a picture; and one of Daisy lounging on the hood of her white Charger like some kind of slinky hood ornament. Bo had to grin and chuckle a little when he saw that on again. He was gonna miss Daisy.

"Uncle Jesse, c'mon," Bo wheedled for the hundreth time that day, leaning on the hood of Jesse's truck. "You can't just leave me here without the General."

"I can and I will," Bo's uncle said sternly (well, what passed for sternly from him). "You boys get in enough trouble with that dang car, I don't want no trouble from this school about you."

"Sorry, Bo, he's right," Daisy said with a sly smile, tilting her head a little. "You and Luke sure do manage to find ways to keep Hazzard on its toes."

"So now I'm stuck at some Yankee boarding school, without the General and without Luke," he all but pouted.

"Hey, think about it this way," his cousin finally spoke up. "Now you won't have to share the girls with me."

"Like I had to share them before!"

Daisy laughed and lightly whapped both of them. "Bo, don't go breakin' no hearts, y' hear?"

"I'll try, Daisy," Bo assured her with a ghost of his old smile.

She hopped out of the cab and gave him a tight hug. "We'll make sure Cooter takes good care of the General for you."

Jesse was next to give him a tight hug. "I'll miss you, Bo."

"I'll miss you too, Uncle Jesse."

"You be good."

"I'll try."

The look he exchanged with Luke as Luke stepped forward for a back-pounding Manly Hug said that he would do his best to avoid being good in any way, shape, or form.

And then his cousins and his uncle were piling back into Jesse's truck and heading back over the causeway. Bo waved goodbye until they were out of sight and his smile faded. He turned and hefted his duffel bag over his shoulder, jamming one hand in the pocket of his tight faded jeans. He kicked at an innocent rock as he started for town. "What kind of a name is 'Fandom', anyway?"

[[Establishy. I have to disappear for job training, I'll be back later this afternoon.]]
